The Raiding Support Regiment was formed in mid-1943 from men from the SBS, LRDG and Greek Sacred Squadron. Its role was to support raiding forces and bring heavy weapons to the partisan groups in Greece, Yugoslavia and Albania. By October 1943 it had acquired Regimental status and fielded no less than five batteries of support weapons.

Some of you will be familiar with his book "I was in Noahs Ark" I was in contact with Mike Colton from the Allied Special Forces Association and Simon Dawkins who knows much about the RSR.

He served in the Raiding Support Regiment (RSR) in the second world war and was awarded the Military Cross whilst a Capitan in that Regiment in the Adriatic 44-45.
