Apr 28, 2010 · These receivers should not have the old LPCM problem regarding LFE boosting. But, this was my own research, so not an absolute guarantee. Those with bitstream as well are actually HD decoding receivers. I just wanted a list that would show older receivers that were HD audio ready and didn't have any issue with lfe boosting over LPCM.

Both of these products support 5.1 surround sound but ONLY through LPCM. Is there a soundbar/base or HTiB out there that supports 5.1 LPCM? I understand a lot of them do Dolby and some of the pricier ones do DTS but finding info on PCM has been a real pain.
