Feature #16823: IMAP STARTTLS support - Redmine

    http://www.redmine.org/issues/16823
Dear Jean-Baptiste, my patch does not do any guessing (I believe default port is 143), it is up to the user to select SSL or TLS or nothing AND the port (see the redmine/imap.rb code), but it …

TLS support for LDAP - Redmine

    http://www.redmine.org/boards/1/topics/19981
Unfortunately, TLS seems to not be supported by Redmine (the "Administration-->LDAP Authentication" screen has a checkbox to enable LDAPS, but no option to use TLS). Patch #29606: Support self-signed LDAPS connections - Redmine

    http://www.redmine.org/issues/29606
Redmine.pm currently does not verify certificates. A brief check suggests, that the library which is used in Redmine.pm simpy doesn't support checking server certificates. Therefore in order to properly secure LDAP authentication for SVN and/or to support this new configuration, Redmine.pm would need to switch to a different LDAP library.
