I think you guys are assuming this Toyota in question has other structural damage, maybe it doesn't And if the core support is straightened out and all it does is hold the radiator in the car anyway, and doesn't bang the front of the engine, whats the different if still functions. My two cents worth on that.

The radiator is bolted to the core support. Replacing the core support is a job for a body shop. Spot welds must be drilled out, and everything bolted to or in the way of the core support must be removed. The new support is welded in place, then everything is reassembled. The only reason to replace the core support is if it was damaged in a crash.

Our family vehicle is a 2010 dodge grand caravan 4.0 litre V6 that has a cracked radiator support. I hear these things are a pain to replace. The part alone, from the factory, costs 400 dollars with shipping. That doesn't count rivets, bolts, nuts, screws, etc. I have found it as cheap as 260 with shipping. Anyhow, we are mechanical illiterate.

Before removing your radiator support, measure & mark certain items, and make note of it. like from the passengers side quarter panel to the center of the the cap for adding the oil. if the radiator support is to damaged its hard to get measurements from the front because of the damage.and if you go off of certain under the hood land marks, it will should help w the install of your new ...
