After the build volume is completely filled up to the top of part being printed, pour out and recycle the raw material that is still in powder form. The desired part is now a solid mass composed of powder grains bonded together. Manual Support. It is also possible to insert support material manually during a print. See Manual Support.

RepRapPro Tricolour Mendel is based on the previous RepRapPro Mono Mendel with many alterations and additions. It was designed in order to further simplify assembly and to increase build volume when using multiple extruders. These instructions document the assembly of a single material/colour “Mono” Mendel.

Mendel 3 - RepRapPro

The RepRapPro Mendel is a robust RepRap machine once assembled; however it does require a certain amount of care during assembly. If in doubt, force is usually not the answer! There are many ways to get support and advice, see the Get Support section below. Printing parts for Mendel 3

FuturePlans - RepRap

Soft Tooling For Casting is not really a RepRap technology. But it is a very useful adjunct to any rapid prototyping system. It allows you to rapid prototype a part simply, and then to make moulds for it and cast the part in many other materials, of which perhaps the most useful is epoxy resin.

What can a reprap print?

Jul 20, 2011 · Most of the firmware and hardware for the Reprap Mendel doesn't support a second extruder but there's probably a version floating around that does. The old Gen 3 electronics support additional extruder controllers but most fw doesn't support it anymore. There are a number of approaches that would work for adding more extruders to the Mendel.

Mendel - RepRap

Mendel vs. Darwin. Mendel is the latest generation RepRap machine. Mendel supersedes the first version, which we call Darwin. RepRap Version I "Darwin" instructions. Ed Sells, a student of Dr. Adrian Bowyer, designed and built the first Mendel printer, sometimes called a "Sells Mendel" to distinguish the original design from later tweaks.
