Nov 25, 2013 · At what point do you need a tailstock (what type of part)? I'm basically completely new to turning but I need to complement my CNC mills. The last 5-10 parts I have received RFQs for I've had to reject due to lack of lathe. Is a tailstock worth an extra $5k on a lathe that w/out a tailstock would only cost $20k? Thanks, Matt
