Feb 08, 2013 · TF2-S3TC Texture Support So when ever I launch TF2, I get this error, so obviously, it won't launch. "Required OpenGL extension "GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc" is not supported.

May 11, 2018 · Upgrade the VMware SVGA driver by updating VMware Tools to version 10.2.5. Downgrade the hardware version from 14 to 12. This in case there is some quirk of version 14 hardware compatibility. This is almost like downgrading Workstation software from 14.x to 12.x (well almost).
