For Fedora Core 2/3/4, enter 'linux' to start the installation. Due to the PCI ID conflict between the Marvell SATA controllers and Highpoint RocketRAID controllers, the controller is no longer detected automatically. As a result, the hard drives are not detected either. The installer will then prompt for the driver selection. Select Yes.

Greetings all, I am trying to install Fedora Core 3 onto two PowerEdge 750 machines with the Dell CERC SATA RAID Controller. After selecting the partition method (either Automatic or Manual) and then clicking on the next button the machine will lock up and emit a continuous tone until turned off.

Re: Fedora Core 3 on PowerEdge SC430 yes, there is an option to delete partitions or erase hard disk but that's not the same as format drive. There is no option to format the drive.

Mar 17, 2005 · Fedora Core 3 unable to find SATA hard drives I formatted the second hd and made 2 partitions. 1-30gig partition with fat32 and the second with ntfs. When I try to install FC3, it tells me I have no hard drives and exits the install.
