May 14, 2012 · We have purchased an Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner & are attempting to install it on a computer running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Apparently, Epson's software is not compatible with this system & will not install. I have attempted to install a driver & was unsuccessful. If anyone knows of a work around, I would appreciate it.

I cannot scan from Windows Server 2003, 2008/2008 R2, 2012 or 2016 although I installed the TWAIN scanner driver on my PC. This issue will be resolved if you execute the command or install the Desktop Experience Pack onto your PC.
