SCTP — The Linux Kernel documentation

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/security/SCTP.html
As SCTP can support more than one transport address per endpoint (multi-homing) on a single socket, it is possible to configure policy and NetLabel to provide different peer labels for each of these. As the socket peer label is determined by the first associations transport address, it is recommended that all peer labels are consistent.

SCTP SELinux Support — The Linux Kernel documentation

Things you find when using SCTP on Linux LaForge's home page

And they all had one thing in common: Nobody seemed to use the Linux kernel SCTP code. They all used proprietary implementations in userspace, using RAW sockets on the kernel interface. I always found this quite odd, knowing that this is the route that you have to take on proprietary OSs without native SCTP support, such as Windows.

sctp(7): SCTP protocol - Linux man page

    https://linux.die.net/man/7/sctp
This is an implementation of the SCTP protocol as defined in RFC2960 and RFC3309. It is a message oriented, reliable transport protocol with direct support for multihoming that runs on top of ip (7), and supports both v4 and v6 versions. Like TCP, SCTP provides reliable, connection oriented data delivery with congestion control.

compiling - Support of SCTP on Ubuntu 14.04 - Ask Ubuntu

    https://askubuntu.com/questions/625529/support-of-sctp-on-ubuntu-14-04
I am developing an application that will make use of some of the SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) APIs like sctp_bindx, sctp_connectx etc. My kernel version is 3.13.0-49-generic. If I try to compile my code, I get. fatal error: netinet/sctp.h: no such file or directory. If I install lksctp-tools package then my code gets compiled.
