SCI support? - ScummVM :: Forums

    https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=7974
Sep 19, 2009 · In recent builds it seems that SCI support is broken? ScummVM does not detect any SCI games. Also, in the last build I have that DID support SCI, ScummVM crashes if you try to save your game which makes testing a bit annoying since you always have to start from scratch...

Thanks for the recordings :) Yes, the warnings above have nothing to do with the sound problems - these are script bugs (related to sound). The glitches you are describing sound like bugs with the version of the munt emulator included in ScummVM, and will likely be fixed once a new version of munt (which sounds closer to the original) is included in ScummVM

The second bug in unbindVoices() was not a complete show stopper, but the function simply did not "unbind the voice". The line which does the actual removal of the channel assignment was missing. The SCI0 driver portions have been tested with: PQ2, KQ4, LSL3, QFG1, ICE and COC. SCI_0_EARLY versions apparently don't support the CMS.

    https://sourceforge.net/p/scummvm/bugs/5844/
Thank you for the comments, but all SCI32 (SCI2, SCI2.1 and SCI3) games are not supported currently. This is not just that they are not official supported, but are still very broken with many missing opcodes resulting in issues such as these. If you can program in C++ and have an interest in working on this, I would suggest talking to the ScummVM project leads.
