I have followed the same way to install the SDDPCM which mentioned on the 18th page on the multipath driver doc. And we are not facing the issue on ROOTVG disks which are the local disks (SAS). The above SDDPCM issue facing for DATAVG which having the LUNs from external storage (DS4700).

-----Post Update-----Just read the 2nd page of this post, are you sure you have a correct / supported version of SDDpcm and the HAS for the DS4k? The configured disks description suggests "other" that the drivers do not correctly recognise them and the SDDpcm storage support matrix is a nightmare...
