We have a own board with a AM37XX and WINCE 6.0 R3. I have a little app to test the speed of writing to an SDCard. When I use a 2GB SDCard, the app takes about 4 sec to write the testfile. When I use a 4GB SDHC Card, it takes about 40 sec to write the same file. Have anyone an idear for solving this problem? THX. 2009-12-10 · ITs very nice stuff. Now since Windows CE runs on Beagleboards, my ideal situation would be to put all maps and the windows CE os and the Navigon software on a 4gb SDHC card. If i insert it into slot1 (or two) it should auto boot from it, and auto run the navigation software. What exactly I need, is a way to use SDHC cards on this device. I have found some *.cab's and dll's, but the device is not recognizing the cab files, and the ddl's can't be replaced in windows. Does anyone of you managed to do this? Sep 13, 2007 · SDHC support in Windows CE 5.0. With SD cards getting bigger and bigger many people don't realise that there is a different standard when you get up above 2GB's. This normally means 4GB and above. A 4GB+ card is part of the SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity, SD 2.0) Standard.

Knowing that the hardware and physical slot support has to be there, the windows ce 5.0 core has the capability to support SDHC cards. This hardware supports on a device by device basis, but newer GPS units with the WinCE 5.0 core may be able to support up to 32Gb SDHC cards. Though, they may be missing this support in the core build.
