Jun 29, 2008 · Earlier Sempron microprocessors didn't support 64-bit mode. The processors have smaller size of L2 cache - 128 KB or 256 KB. The processors have single channel memory controller and slower HyperTransport link. Like their K7 Sempron counterparts, K8 Sempron CPUs use rated speed which is relative to performance of Intel Celeron processors.
