EHLO (Extended Hello) Same as HELO but tells the server that the client may want to use the Extended SMTP (ESMTP) protocol instead. EHLO can be used although you will not use any ESMTP command. And servers that do not offer any additional ESMTP commands will normally at least recognize the EHLO command and reply in a proper way.

May 28, 2019 · the SMTP server supports the "EHLO" (Extended Hello command, circa IETF RFC 1425) - this is a "given"...it's inconceivable in 2019 that an SMTP server would not. the SMTP server presents the keyword "AUTH" in the EHLO response. AUTH indicates that the SMTP server supports Authentication of the email client to the SMTP server.

If you need the domain to show up instead, you can put the domain on a dedicated IP address, then use the /etc/mailhelo and /etc/mailips to set the banner for exim for that domain. Oct 22, 2018 · If the 'remote server' is detailing that, it is not about hMailserver, it is about the recipient server in both cases. In this day and age a server not liking EHLO has a very short life, and not many people sending mail to it.

Up until ~2 weeks ago both my mother in-law and father in-law were able to connect and send mail from OL2003 using their respective msn and live accounts. They were using smtp.live.com port 25 SSL.
