Linux support for SHIFT-JIS. I'm asking here because I cannot find a damn thing about this entire subject on Google. It's really frustrating, as if Google doesn't want me to know. In Japan, Windows computers (so almost all computers) typically use the SHIFT-JIS encoding for their characters. This encoding is not supported on my system.

After upgrading phpMyAdmin from version 2.5.7-pl1 to any release after this, there is a problem setting and displaying shift_jis encoded data properly..
