PCS7 itself is a bundle of Siemens software and hardware. The controllers used are exactly the same as the S7-400. The difference is the software.

May 16, 2011 · You have three way to migrate the system APACS, the basic is migrate the OS PCS7, Second you can migrate the ACM using the IO/DP, you have your typical IO of the APACS but the control you do in the S7 400, or the full migration, is use the PCS7 with IM, the parts of apacs will have until 2020, analyses your system and take a decission.
