HTML 5's lack of support for recording audio has been stagnant for years (not to mention the lack of consistency in playing back audio--different file formats for different browsers? Insane!).

As a workaround, we can use the Video.JS to allow your browser to parse the video tag and play the video with a flash player if your browser does not support HTML5 standards.
