The only real exception to that rule is Safari extensions, which are mostly safe, and are easy to get rid of when they don’t work. SIMBL and its dependents are not Safari extensions.

Steam folders are not in available in: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/ Where else might it be? I can only find the steam app in Applications. Have also unhidden all my folders through terminal and still can't find steam folders < >

Feb 21, 2011 · You would be looking for the forgetmenot plug-in, and not just for a SIMBL folder (which would not be the same as a file). Look in the main Library/Application Support folder - then in the same Application Support folder in your own home folder. Also check for ForgetMeNot in both those Library folders, in the Internet Plug-ins folders.

Do you have anything in /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins or ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins? Is MySimbl.app in your Applications folder? If you are not using any more Simbl plugins you can safely delete those folders.
