Print-O-Matic does this by overriding Skeinforge settings, so if you change something in Skeinforge that's also addressed by Print-O-Matic, that change won't take effect unless Print-O-Matic is turned off. Some of the Print-O-Matic settings override multiple Skeinforge settings.

Skeinforge has a support material option that many people don't use, but it actually works quite well if used correctly. It isn't perfect, but it can make a big difference in some prints. At the bottom of the "Raft" tab, there are a few support options. "Support Cross Hatch" - If checked prints support layers in an alternating cross-hatch pattern.

Feb 12, 2013 · I tried Slic3r first before switching to Skeinforge. Given that I had about one year of experience with the easier Slic3r and read the Skeinforge wiki thoroughly, I was able to print a near perfect print with Skeinforge (better than my previous Slic3r prints anyway) on the first try (ok, second try if you count the cancelled first layer due to initially wrong flow rate settings).
