Oct 28, 2010 · Slackware PHP PCRE compiled with no UTF-8 support. Hi there, Sorry but I cannot find any related thread on this forum so I post this one. My Slackware installed PHP's PCRE seems not compiled with utf-8 support as I run some framework test (therefore it fails the framework test #kohana).

and change the value to your own language. A dutch family would change this to # en_US is the Slackware default locale: export LANG=nl_NL. And if I also wanted to make the computer support Unicode text, I would change it to # en_US is the Slackware default locale: export LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8. Note that Slackware is not fully Unicode-prepared.
