As of version 4.15, Unreal Engine supports NVIDIA's Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) for packaged games running on NVIDIA SLI configurations. AFR works by alternating frames between the linked GPUs; one frame is rendered by GPU 1, then the next frame is rendered …

Soma didn't ship with a custom NVIDIA SLI profile. It's often possible to make use of multiple GPUs without a custom SLI profile by enabling SLI (Multi-GPU rendering mode) in the game's NVIDIA Control Panel or NVIDIA Inspector profile by forcing 'Alternate frame rendering 1' or 'Alternate frame rendering 2'.

Dec 08, 2018 · Sli needs at least 3 prerendered frames for frame delivery stability, as you will otherwise see massive stuttering from the spikes in frametines on the cpu.

SLI is Multi GPU technology which allows two or more GPUs to parallel render frames, a single GTX 970m is not 2 GPUs, thus, it obviously will not support nVidia SLI. #4 Horus

Mar 25, 2008 · SLI offers two rendering and one anti-aliasing method for splitting the work between the video cards: - Split Frame Rendering (SFR), the first rendering method. This analyzes the rendered image in order to split the workload 50/50 between the two GPUs. To do this, the frame is split horizontally in varying ratios depending on geometry.

Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) is a technique of graphics rendering in personal computers which combines the work output of two or more graphics processing units (GPU) for a single monitor, in order to improve image quality, or to accelerate the rendering performance. The technique is that one graphics processing unit computes all the odd video frames, the other renders the even frames.
