Aug 30, 2010 · (Similar to another post I found here on Google but not quite) My PC runs mostly 24/7. It just stopped working before my eyes. I woke it from screensaver, plugged in a wireless mouse and then my Monitor "No Signal, Monitor is going to sleep", then the fans and PC just quit with an ever so slight whiff of ozone (electric spark smell) but very weak.

Jul 04, 2005 · if all else fails, you may have to take pc apart, clean out the case with ammonia/water, clean all the fans, cig smoke condenses on stuff forming a coating that is tuff to get off w/o ammonia or other solvent, water wont work. the pc boards you really dont want to mess with, other than blowing as much dust off as you can.
