Oct 14, 2005 · I bought a broken Xbox, and it says "Your Xbox requires service. Please call Xbox Customer Service." when I turn it on. The front LED also blinks red and green. It does this with or without a game. I think it is a really old Xbox. Does anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong? I opened it up as far as I could, but couldn't see any obvious problems.

Jan 26, 2010 · When I try to load "Checkpoints" it goes to a screen with green writing with the number 21 in the left hand top corner saying "Service Required. Call customer support." Have I done something wrong? If not why has this happened? EDIT: Scratch that. I've done it now.

Dec 11, 2015 · You have to call Microsoft support and ask for the code but I don’t think they have a support team for the Original Xbox anymore. I think I may have to buy another one that works. The code is different for every Xbox and from what I can see there is no obvious way to figure out what the code is.

Tried booting now, it shows the start up splash/blob, then it goes straight to a screen where it says "Service required. Call customer support." and in the top left it says 05 if that is of any importance. Same thing happens when I try to boot with a game inserted
