Dec 04, 2017 · Oracle Solaris 10 Extended Support will continue to supply you with fixes, security patches, security alerts for Oracle Solaris 10 similar to Oracle Solaris 10 Premier Support for 3 years. It doesn't, however, include new hardware support. After 3 years, Extended Support ends, and your only option is Sustaining Support.

Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 ships with Java SE 6 update 37 (and, for compatibility reasons, it also contains the Java 4 and Java 5 versions) for use with components of Oracle Solaris 10 that have a dependency on Java. Java SE 6 will enter Sustaining Support on January 1, 2018, at which time no further fixes or updates will be released.

May 06, 2013 · I still have question about the EBS upgrade. Our Oracle application R12.0.6 is now running on Solaris 10. If the application is upgraded to 12.1.3 and database 11g, can we keep it running on Solaris 10? If yes, where can I find the Oracle support timeline for Solaris on 12.1.3 and 11g? If no, that means we have to upgrade the OS to be Solaris 11?

"There is an uplift fee waiver for all 3 years of Extended Support through November 2013. As long as customers are current on their Software Update License & Support fees and renewals, their 11.5.10 release version will automatically receive the Severity 1 Production Support Exception to Sustaining Support for 11.5.10.
