Running both VST2 and VST3 versions of Waves plug-ins in the same SONAR session is currently not supported by Waves. Mixing and matching VST2 and VST3 plugins will likely result in the plugins crashing or the UI not drawing.

Oct 24, 2015 · Sampletank 3 VST-3 version I've seen here in the forum and elsewhere that Sampletank 3 VST 3 version may not work properly in Sonar Platinum. I'm having an issue where in the vst3 version, none of the outputs 17 and higher pass any audio data through to the tracks.

Dec 04, 2019 · I put sonar X2 producer in (only the 1st disc though) and likewise with sonar X3 producer. Now, I've got session drummer 1 but session drummer 3 doesn't show up even on a VST scan. (I've also looked in plug in manager to see if there's anything in not enabled section and there's nothing there.) Any thoughts on where I'm going wrong?

Feb 08, 2011 · SONAR 7 supports VST 2.4, which does allow for 64-bit double precision input/output to/from SONAR. SONAR 7 supports sidechaining, as well, also using the VST 2.4 spec. We ship with sidechainable compressors, including the VC-64 which is powered by Kjaerhus. Sidechainable VSTs from Voxengo, Wave Arts and Sonalksis all work fine with SONAR 7.
