Feb 05, 2016 · Remote control of the camera wasn't possible. So it look like it doesn't work :( I'll try with the new firmware and the newest version of gphoto2 but I don't think it will make any difference. This comment has been minimized.

It does not seem to report any known capture opcode as available. Either its not reported or they use another new one (there are some commands unknown to me in the opcode list). Can you get a network trace between the windows software and the camera? Not sure how to do this with android, but perhaps you can sniff the wireless lan if not encrypted.

Mar 15, 2008 · If you can figure out what the device is incorrectly identified as select and uninstall (may be unknown device, generic camera, human interface device...) Then disconnect it and uninstall the software. Restart the computer and clean install the software and drivers and when told to do so connect and let it be detected.

One thing I was told back then was that the camera needed to be in PTP mode to have a chance of working. I find now that this is true depending on your definition of working. The camera will NOT do remote capture in PTP mode. PTP will work for downloading images. You must be in normal mode to do remote camera control.

Oct 06, 2015 · I do video production using professional cameras that connect to my computer with a multiport 1394 Card. Previously in Windows/7 the 1394 driver had to be set to legacy to function properly. Well, Windows 10 indicates it has detected my devices (Panasonic DVG15 Camera) however, there is No video or audio.
