Because I responded, at least for a short time to the drugs I was given in the hospital, they both agreed I would be a good candidate for a splenectomy I had the splenectomy on November 11, 2000, using a laparoscopic procedure. I would highly recommend having the splenectomy done that way if your surgeon is trained to do it that way.
