Mar 21, 2013 · Split arrow is phenomenal for hybrid or elemental builds. It's not the best option if you want to shoot yourself in the foot by doing physical damage though. Frenzy+LMP/GMP or Rain of Arrows is the better option. With that being said, the gems I personally use on Split Arrow are: - Weapon Elemental Damage

Jan 28, 2013 · Split Arrow won't link with Fire Arrow even if they are linked together. They are both attack gems. What you're looking for are support gems; to link Split Arrow with the Added Fire Damage gem, or Fire Arrow with the Multiple projectile gem.

i'm using caustic+lesser poison & split arrow+volley support.. i'm only lvl 4 and still trying to figure this out. Yeah, that's fine for now. Over time and through Quest rewards throughout Acts 1-4, you'll unlock more Skill Gems and Support Gems. That 2-Link you have on your Caustic Arrow will grow into 3, 4, 5, and if you're super lucky, a 6-Link.

Dec 18, 2013 · Pierce and especially Chain are better support gems for Split Arrow, I feel. Chain is somewhat rare and not a quest reward, but Pierce is available early on. I think it's fine to use a couple fusings if you have a nice bow or other piece of gear that you'll use for a while.
