May 19, 2013 · How do the SQR bags compare to Carradice’s traverse-style saddlebags? Heavy loads have less of an effect on handling than a conventional saddlebag and (Bagman) support. I did detect some contact between the SQR bags and the backs of my thighs, but it was still less than with a conventional saddlebag attached without a support.

The SQR may work better with a Super C saddlebag (it's designed for it) or a Nelson (bit shallower than the Camper). Best of all is what I have on my mtb-tourer, B15 saddle with loops, a little support on the rack mounts and a bungy to hold everything steady; I have confidence in that.

Jul 27, 2018 · Unfortunately, that's extra cost. (Bagman QR, saddle rails; SQR, seatpost; Classic, B17 loops). I use a Nelson Longflap, with a Bagman QR fitting (without the support bit), and a rack underneath to do the supporting, or take panniers for occasions where I want more space, like touring or the supermarket.
