Nov 13, 2014 · The only RAID drivers that support TRIM in RAID 0 is the IRST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) version 11.x and later versions. Another component of TRIM support is having the appropriate RAID Option ROM (part of a BIOS) that matches and works with the RAID driver.

May 11, 2014 · Any recently new SSD Sata drives should have garbage collection so TRIM is not an issue. Stringing 12 SSDs in a RAID 0 config should easily give you over 2GB/s write capability.

Sep 06, 2011 · TRIM would come under the RAID card controller and not under Windows. If you want to use SSD on an RAID array, find a controller with support for TRIM Windows MVP, XP, Vista, 7. Aug 19, 2019 · This is a problem if you have an SSD. How to Enable TRIM. Windows should automatically enable TRIM if you have a modern version of Windows with a modern solid-state drive. If TRIM is disabled, it’s possible that Windows knows something you don’t, and TRIM shouldn’t be enabled for a drive. Perhaps it’s a a very old solid-state drive.

This is not correct. It supports TRIM for drives NEXT TO a RAID, not IN a RAID. For example, you have 2 1TB drives in RAID, and then a SSD by itself, all three drives connected to the Intel chipset. The intel controller would be in RAID mode, but the SSD itself was not in a RAID.
