On linux, the newly plugged in xbox one controller worked fine ingame immediately, but as soon as I registered it as a "Steam Controller" in steams settings, the game no longer worked with it, EVEN if I unchecked xbox controller configuration support. In Windows, it worked fine as a steam controller.

Nov 21, 2012 · Is anyone else having luck in using a gamepad with TF2? I've been needing to use a keymapper (qjoypad) to map my PS3 controller buttons to keyboard and mouse controls. For reference, And Yet It Moves seems to just work with my PS3 controller, so it seems to be a per-game issue.
