Jul 14, 2008 · Folks, when late last year we announced support for Solaris Cluster in LDoms I/O domains on this blog entry , we also hinted about support for LDoms guest domains.It has taken a bit longer then we envisaged, but i am pleased to report that SC Marketing has just announced support for LDoms guest domains with Solaris Cluster!!

Dec 15, 2010 · I am looking at T5120 with UltraSPARC T2 processor, StorageTek 2540 storage, with Solaris 10 u9 09/10, Soalris cluster 3.2 11/09, LDOM 1.3. I am planning to have one guest domain installed with both Sun cluster and Oracle RAC software, shared vdisks and vnets on two different physical machines.

The mode=sc is the most forgot setting if running Solaris Cluster in LDom. If installing Solaris Cluster in LDom’s (Oracle VM Sever for SPARC) then virtual switches are necessary for the private interconnect (cluster transport).

Jul 14, 2008 · Check cluster support matrix for specifics. LDoms guest domains don't change this support. For cluster private interconnect, the LDoms virtual device "vnet" can be used just fine, however the virtual switch which it maps must have the option "mode=sc" specified for it.

Mar 14, 2013 · Hi, i have setup HA-NFS with Sun cluster 3.3 in two guest LDOMs on two separate T4-2. The guest LDOMs get one VNET for interconnect and one VNET for public; the vswitch for public is 2x10g port aggregated on the control domain, so there is no need to have IPMP for public interface in the ldom.
