Nov 14, 2007 · In my brief experience, the question was always "what happens when the RSC is removed from the 280R" and not the other way around. So, I didn't look too deeply when replying in that earlier thread. A Sunfire 280R will indeed become a rackmount SB1000 if the card is removed, and the disk pathing will flip.
