Important notes for people installing Sven Co-op for the first time via Vapour: If you want to play the original Half-Life storyline maps in Sven Co-op, you need to run the \SvenCoop\hlsp_lan.bat on the server machine to install support for these maps. If you need to uninstall HLSP support for extra disk space, use hlsp_support_REMOVE.bat.

So long as you own Half-Life on steam, and have run it at least once, the support installers will copy and modify your HLSP maps to make them work properly with mutliple players in Sven Coop. Same goes for Blue Shift and Opposing Force. Last edited by Sparks ; Aug 12, 2015 @ 3:45pm

Guardian just sent me a new version of his support files for the Half-Life single-player maps (together with Sven Co-op, these allow you to play Valve's original Half-Life storyline co-operatively). This version supports direct installation on Steam, with no need for an old HL installation!

First of all, Sven Co-op is a coop game where all players are on the same side. If someone kills an Alien Grunt in less Uzi shots than his teammates, he's helping the other players, because they are all on the same side. This is unlike other games where the players are competing against each other.

BHOP in Sven Co-op There's no use for bhop in SC since it's a coop game. Instead of trying to race the map with bhop and spoil it for everyone else, try supporting your team mates, it makes for a more satisfying game in the end. 9
