I am on Windows 7, plan to upgrade to windows 8. The upgrade manager says Symantec Endpoint Protection (antivirus) software is not compatible with windows 8. That antivirus software is the one offered by my university (many universities actually) for free to students.

If you want to have a Policy Profile , you can Export the Policy Profile in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and Import it like in steps in 6 & 7.
