All new purchases of Hyena include one (1) year of free maintenance and upgrades. The maintenance expiration period is built into Hyena's licensing registration key. The maintenance expiration period can be viewed under the Tools > Settings > Licensing dialog.

The relationship of Hyena's maintenance expiration period and Hyena's release date are used to determine whether a given license is eligible for a free upgrade to a newer version.
