I am normally using ipkg-opt on my USB disk. /opt is on my USB. ipkg doesn't run because I disabled jffs. It could be modified to run on any /opt

Sep 09, 2010 · Tomato web site does not contains any useful “how to” on how to enable ipkg support, instead they send you to dd-wrt wiki, which is quite messy, and it is all about using ipkg on/jffs . I dislike this solution, yes, it is simple – just enable /jffs and you have ipkg working, but I don’t want my router’s flash to wear out.

I have a USB Flash Drive I intend to use as my storage device. I like solid state and low power. For now at least, I don't intend to run this as a music, file, or torrent server like many other people seem to do, so I don't need lots speed or storage space. Because it is a flash drive, I don't want to "wear out" the device by writing too much.
