"Thanks for your cooperation" when you are attempting to make the person cooperate is mean "Thanks for your understanding" when you are basically forcing the person to accept your choices instead of working out a mutually agreeable solution -- is again: aggressive behavior.

I wouldn't think you have anything better to do with your time than help me, so thanks for helping me. However, I would be shocked to learn that anyone who wrote "Thanks in advance" at the end of an email really meant any of those things.
