Jan 10, 2007 · scussy, I'm not all the famliar with the Asus line of burners, but if what your saying is that Asus is a rebaged Pioneer drive then your in the same boat again as Pioneer drives do not support bitsetting which is why you won't find a setting for it in Imgburn.

That's great, and I may try that, but what I was really going for w/my post was to see if there even exists a drive w/the wishlist I put in my original post: no riplock, bitsets all + formats, including dual layer.

@bladeede I used Nero 7.10.1.0 and 6.6.0.16 - both of them including the associated Nero Express does not have an option to change booktype. I believe this is due to the fact that LG-GSA-H55N does not support bitsetting and therefore the option to change booktype is not shown at all.

Early models only supported the 'Next Write' style of doing things - they've become much more user friendly since then - the drives now remember how you want the bitsetting stuff ...

Feb 09, 2009 · i cant set my drive to booktype to dvd-rom, img burn wont do it and neither will a few other programs i found that offer the ability to change booktype. i think its my older, crappier dvd burner. but its not required to burn as dvd-rom if ur wii can read dvd+r. try it and see.
