Error: Does not support presets. After reinstalling Adobe on a different computer with a different scanner, I can no longer use "Create>PDF from scanner>Black&White Document". Custom Scan and Configure Presets are the only two options. The rest are gray (unavailable).

Sep 06, 2016 · When I try to create a PDF in Acrobat using the scanner it says Scanner does not support presets. Brother does not offer a driver for this MFC 8500 which is a workhorse that I love. Brother says the driver comes standard with Windows 7. Each time I wish to create a PDF I have to use custom and set page size, printer, dpi every time.

Basically, if i goto "Scan to PC" option on Xerox machine, i get an option called "Scan Presets" where i have selections like Simple scanning, Archival Record, etc... and this "Scan Presets" default setting is what i want to change.

Nov 22, 2011 · Acrobat X recognizes HP CM2320 WIA scanner for presets. However does NOT allow to change paper size and default is Automatic. Even if I scan A4 pages, they are scanned in LEGAL size. Hence I have to manually crop every scanned page which is tedious and not feasible -or- use custom scan which is a lengthy process.
