Oct 11, 2013 · I suggest to check the repomd.xml to make sure you have right permissions, etc. If the file is fine, the problem could be compatibility. Since it is necessary to use -s sha to create a yum 5 repository using OL 6 createrepo for backward compatibility, perhaps it is reasonable to assume a yum 5 repository is not forward compatible with yum of your OL 6 system.

Mar 03, 2019 · If it looks OK, I would try to access repomd.xml manually from the guest, using whatever URLs, credentials etc. you have configured on the guest. Perhaps it turns out that the guest gets the file from a different location that you intend.

Thanks for the reply. I used plain ftp (FileZilla) to download the directory to my PC and then uploaded it to IFS on one of my IBM i. I have tried the ACS and the utility to download the directory to an local repo, but that didn't work either.
