Nov 12, 2002 · Tomcat is a servlet/JSP container and does not support EJBs. This is as of Tomcat 4.x. I have not been to the Tomcat site for a long time now but I am pretty sure they would not provide such support. If they do I would be very very surprised.

May 04, 2012 · No, Tomcat does not support EJB. It is a Servlet/JSP container, not an EJB container. The Jakarta Project provides an implementation of the Servlets API called Tomcat, and an implementation of JavaServer Pages called Jasper. These are bundled together in the Tomcat release.
