I got all my unit and integration tests working, apparently happy to use the JTA Transactions, using Kodo EA3. The next thing on my to-do list was updating to Kodo EA4.

Apr 22, 2013 · It takes care of abuse from the webapp and also quirks in XA support of JDBC drivers. I don't get why the Tomcat connection pool needs to support XA itself, it just needs to support pooling of objects that happen to be JDBC connections, the JCA layer will proxy/wrapper the pool and deal with the impedence mismatch.
