Sep 13, 2002 · I was always told to stay away from Force outboards but I have always seen these actually say force on the outside somewhere. My Mariner Tracker outboard had the same model number on the plate as a mercury, so I would assume they were the same motor. That is what I was told from a buddy who used to rig boats.
