The 5.4 and 5.5 client install packages permit installation on Windows 2000. The install packages for future 5.4 and 5.5 install packages should be changed to prevent installation on Windows 2000. The Microsoft Windows 2000 operation system is out of support by Microsoft. Tivoli Storage Manager 5.3 is the last release that supports Windows 2000.
