I preferred it to the support belt, but then I was on the edge of being too big for the support belt so it dug in a bit. I was on crutches during my last pregnancy with SPD, not this time [currently 29 weeks]. I've been wearing the tubigrip lately and it just seems to hold things together better.

My physio gave me a huuuuuugggee bit of tubigrip when I was pregnant with SPD. She fitted it for me and it kind of went from midthigh to over my bump. Well in theory- I found it rolled upwards from my thighs so was more just over/below bump. It was double thickness as well- really nice in the hot weather Support belts are different.

Feb 15, 2012 · I've never worn the tubigrip during pregnancy, but I LOVE it after birth. I hate the feeling when all your organs are readjusting their position after birth, and that wobbly jelly feeling, so the tubigrip was great to help with that (although I was technically wearing it due to my SPD and sever abdominal muscle separation lol).

These help to support the bones of the pelvis back into their correct alignment. Corsets need to be custom fitted by a physiotherapist and adjusted as the abdomen enlarges. They may also need to be worn during sleep if the SPD pain is impacting on being able to sleep and stay comfortable in bed.
