Yaffs is already supported in u-boot, so if you're using u-boot as a boot loader then there is already seamless support for Yaffs file system access between the boot loader and VxWorks. Some organizations have developed their own VxWorks wrappers for Yaffs, but using the Yaffs-for-VxWorks wrapper saves a lot of integration and testing effort.
