May 30, 2015 · This is a rugged laptop I picked up from ebay for a good price, which the seller wiped with Ubuntu 10.04 due to the expense of Microsoft's Windows relicensing fee. The device has an integrated serial touchscreen, and the manufacturer is notorious for hiding any and all documentation on legacy devices such as this one.

See my previous post on how to install Ubuntu on Yoga Pro 2 for Ubuntu GNOME 16.10. I think Ubuntu GNOME is the best flavor of Ubuntu if you are running in HiDPI mode 3200x1800. Yes Ubuntu does support touch screens. You can use LibreOffice (Free) and save the documents in Microsoft Office formats so others can open the file on their Windows computer. LibreOffice can do most things Microsoft Office can so I recommend you check that out first.
