Feb 09, 2008 · I am currently using Ubuntu 8.10 en my Eee PC 701. The wifi has been working without problems since very early beta versions. The final version of Ubuntu 8.10 upgraded the kernel (2.6.27-7), introducing some problem with this wifi card (the module seems to be disabled).

Sep 01, 2008 · Distro support is getting better for the Eee PC laptops, Ubuntu 8.10 should be much more compatible. Here’s the process I went though to get Ubuntu 8.04 set up on my Eee PC 901: Boot from a USB drive or SD card to run the Ubuntu installer.
